ADARx Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: ADRX) delivered a strong opening in its public-market debut, opening at **$22.10**, exactly **30.0% above its $17.00 IPO price**. The company priced at the top of its marketed **$15.00-$17.00 range** and increased the offering to **26.25 million shares**, raising **$446.25 million**.

The strong opening reflected significant initial demand, with ADRX reaching an intraday high of **$23.21**. However, the early strength did not hold. Shares gradually moved lower during the session before selling accelerated later in the afternoon, eventually taking ADRX to an intraday low of **$19.05**.

## Neutral Sentiment Throughout the Session

Despite the deterioration in price, IPO Prophet's quantitative sentiment model opened **Neutral** and remained **Neutral throughout the entire trading session**. No Bearish Sentiment signal was generated.

That distinction is important. While ADRX gave back a meaningful portion of its opening premium, the price action did not meet IPO Prophet's threshold for a bearish signal.

ADRX ultimately closed at **$19.35**, down **12.44%** from its $22.10 opening price, but still **13.82% above its $17.00 IPO price**. The session therefore produced two very different perspectives: investors receiving IPO allocations still finished the day with a double-digit gain, while investors purchasing shares at the opening experienced a meaningful decline.

## Strong Bookbuilding, More Cautious Secondary Trading

The offering was led by **J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, TD Cowen and UBS**, giving ADARx a strong group of bookrunners for one of the larger biotechnology IPOs of 2026.

The upsized transaction and top-of-range pricing demonstrated substantial institutional demand during the bookbuilding process, while the first day of trading showed that investors became considerably more price-sensitive once the shares moved substantially above the IPO price.

## IPO Prophet Takeaway

**ADRX is a good example of why investors should not automatically buy the opening print of a strong IPO.** The stock opened 30.0% above the IPO price, but IPO Prophet was **not Bullish at the open** — our quantitative sentiment model opened **Neutral** and remained Neutral throughout the session.

That distinction proved important as ADRX gave back much of its opening premium and finished **12.44% below the $22.10 opening price**.
