U.S. IPO & Equity Capital Markets Brief 8/31/2026

Period: August 31–September 4, 2026
Coverage: Traditional U.S. operating-company IPOs and consequential ECM transactions of at least $100 million
There are no qualifying U.S. IPOs of at least $100 million scheduled to price this week. The Labor Day-shortened calendar has no active qualifying roadshow or institutional book.

1. Executive Summary

The week begins with no final price range, no book from which to judge price sensitivity and no qualifying first-day setup. A light calendar may improve attention for the next launch, but it does not by itself establish scarcity.

Aggreko, Bamboo Insurance and Electra Therapeutics became public SEC filers during the past week, adding energy infrastructure, homeowners insurance and late-stage biotechnology to the Q3 queue. None has launched terms.

2. Active Qualifying IPO Calendar

Issuer Expected timing Price range Shares / offer Exchange Underwriters
No qualifying IPOs No qualifying deal scheduled

IPO Prophet® rating. No rating is assigned because there is no qualifying launched deal. Ratings and first-day scenarios should wait for shares, range, seller mix and verified roadshow color.

3. Market Structure and First-Day Read-Through

Tradable float. A quiet week can concentrate attention, but the next issuer must create true scarcity through disciplined float and limited secondary supply.

Institutional demand. Public filings show readiness; they do not prove oversubscription, crossover support or low price sensitivity.

Momentum and FOMO. Energy infrastructure and AI-linked power are the strongest themes in the queue, but pricing and the opening auction must confirm excess demand.

Macro timing. Friday’s U.S. employment report is the principal market event and may influence when issuers launch after the holiday.

4. Newly Public Filings

Aggreko (AGKO). Public F-1 filed August 24 for the NYSE. Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan and BofA lead. Strong AI/data-center power exposure is supportive; sponsor supply, leverage, valuation and float will determine scarcity.

Bamboo Insurance (BMB). Public S-1 filed August 28 for the NYSE. J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley lead. The preliminary offering is entirely secondary, making valuation, catastrophe risk and sponsor overhang central to demand.

Electra Therapeutics (ETRA). Public S-1 filed August 28 for Nasdaq. Jefferies, TD Cowen, Evercore ISI and Cantor lead. The pre-revenue biotech setup will depend on clinical-data credibility, cash runway, crossover support and final float.

5. Q3 ECM Watchlist

The watchlist explicitly distinguishes public registration statements, confidential submissions and an unfiled candidate. Public filers are not described as generic pipeline names.
